At Playroom SA, we are committed to providing quality products and fair service in accordance with the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 (CPA) and the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002 (ECTA).

1. Cooling-Off Period (Online Purchases)
In terms of Section 44 of the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act (ECTA), customers have the right to cancel an online order within 7 days of receiving the goods, without giving a reason.
To qualify:
- The item must be unused and unopened.
- The product must be in its original sealed packaging.
- All accessories, manuals and inserts must be included.
Return shipping costs under the cooling-off right will be for the customer’s account. Refunds will exclude original delivery charges.
2. Hygiene & Safety Products (Important)
For health, hygiene and safety reasons, adult toys, intimate products, lubricants, supplements and personal-use items cannot be returned once opened or unsealed, unless defective.
This aligns with CPA principles regarding hygiene-sensitive goods.
3. Defective or Faulty Products
In terms of Section 56 of the Consumer Protection Act, all goods carry an implied 6-month warranty against defects.
If a product is faulty within 6 months of purchase, you may choose:
- A repair
- A replacement
- A full refund
The product may be inspected to confirm the defect. Damage caused by misuse, neglect, improper charging, water damage (where not waterproof), or unauthorised tampering will not qualify.
Return shipping for verified defective items will be covered by Playroom SA.
4. Incorrect Item Received
If you receive the wrong item, please notify us within 48 hours of delivery. The product must remain unopened and unused.
We will arrange collection and replacement at our cost.
5. Non-Returnable Items
The following cannot be returned unless defective:
- Opened adult toys
- Opened lubricants or enhancers
- Supplements
- Sale or clearance items
- Gift cards
6. Refund Processing
Once a return is approved and inspected:
- Refunds will be processed within 7–10 working days.
- Refunds will be made to the original payment method.
- Bank transfer refunds may require proof of account details.
7. How to Request a Return
To initiate a return, please contact us using the details above and include:
- Your order number
- Clear photos (if defective)
- A brief description of the issue
No returns will be accepted without prior approval.
